Marcella and the Armed Robbery in Wilcox
After her husband died, 71-year-old Marcella Gordon rented out the farm, moved back into town and got a job at the Wilcox Credit Union. A few months later, she had what she called one of the biggest adventures of her life when the credit union was robbed, at gunpoint.
Doc’s Cousin, Marcella Gordon
Marcella was Doc’s cousin but much more than that! A lovely, classy lady who lived large for most of her 108 years, a big sports fan, a woman with a heart of gold.
The Adoption
Gerald McManus became Gerald Patrick Merlin O’Shea after he was put up for adoption by his mother, Mary McManus, in 1931, and adopted by the O’Sheas.
